thinking of buying a Disco to mess about with ( tart up a little) either a 3 or 4. Which is best? They seem real value for money on the bay. Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Brilliant piece, thanks for the info I will adapt into any purchase I make

ur very welcome , glad it will be of some use and what to look for

i personally bought mine as a project , taken nearly 10 x months to get it up to scratch , still got a few more bits to do

have u driven a D3-D4 yet , must admit are extremely nice to drive

I have had several RR Sports and assume it will drive similar - always bought new. But fancied a D3 or a D4 to do something with that's my Defender I finished last year and wanted to see what a D3 or 4 would look like finished in off road trim!

the D3 is the same chassis as ur RR sport, so would assume it will ride the same

lovely looking fender by the way , there are indeed so many mods that i can do to a d3/d4

i.e., front winch , snorkel etc etc

here's one ,lol

Like the more industrial look for the front bars! Probably illegal but they do look much better in my eyes

illegal , not that i'm a where of , plenty of disco owners fitting them, think they look good along with being practical having the winch bumpers

there are some extended road height bars , but believe it's supposed to mess the cv joints up , still doesn't raise the axles though, lol

there are a few disco that have the added rear electronic diff lock ,

standard on the air suspension models u will have the terrian response , traction control, electronic centre locking diff , don't know if ur RR sport had the same systems

know they did bring out a coil sprung version but doesn't have any of the terrain control system
