which code reader/scanner

I know this has had lengthy threads in the past, however they tended to be concentrating on land rover specific. If i wanted one to do only my Range Rovers there is no doubt about it i would have a Faultmate.

However as i may wish to use it on different vehicles in the future whats the best universal one out there?, i think i have narrowed it down to 4, either the solus pro or modis, the launch x431 or autoboss v30, been looking for a while now and the prices all seem in my budget.

The money is burning a hole in my pocket now and i want to buy the unit before i spend the cash on something else, whats you views, all advice welcome as i would hate to waste my money.

well finally made a decision and bought on today. I ended up going for the Autoengiuity system from Gendan, also purchased the landrover enhanchemnt, however it will be a few weeks for the enhancement as theres a brand new version coming out, did'nt think it was badly priced but hopefully will do everything i need it to......the other thing that i liked about it was it's upgradable to other cars if needed in the future.

Anybody else got one? any comments good or bad on this system?

Which is ok if your Rangie is 2004 on. Does not cover anything before that apparently.

The new update according to the guys at Genden say that the new enhancement will be covering all the L332 BMW based motors, this i am assured will be available in 2 weeks....hope there right otherwise i will be pretty cheesed off....will keep you informed
