Which air filter for 3.9

Now got the 3.9, in to the defender, she starts and runs fine. What air filter fits best?

Are you running hotwire (Lucas 14CUX) injection?

K&N do a nice cone filter (Rimmer brothers, RPI, etc) which is great.

You will have to slice off the tube portion of the air filter box from your donor vehicle near the point where it connects to the air flow meter(about an inch along from the meter end) and the fix the filter to this - then you have your connection.

Makes a lovely neat job - if you didn't get the filter with your engine then a new plastic air filter box (top section - you don't need the main bit) is only 19 quid from Land Rover or a tenner from a breaker.

Yes its hotwire 14cux. Dont have access to the donor vehicle so will get top section only of air filter box and a cone filter.

cone filters are for the go-faster kids, you will also need an induction kid to direct fresh cool air into the filter.

You could fit a disco 300 series airbox which a K&N panel filter will fit if you feel u need a K&N.
