wheres me sedimeter gone?

Ey up,

Just doing a quick basic service on my 300TDi (1996) auto and went to clean the sedimeter out but can't find it!!!!
Looked under the back of the car roughly where the filler cap is but cannot see anything.
Has anyone a good picture or guide as to exactly where it is.
The car is a japanese import if that makes any difference.

You'll need to get right under it to see it, should be just above the rear axel, tucked in by the inside of the right hand (drivers) main chassis beam.

Could not have one fitted I suppose, I know people who have taken them off. Dunno why you would though, unless the jap motors arent fitted with it anyway. It does give you better filter life and it don't take a lot of looking after so I'm gonna leave mine fitted.
