Hi,
I am ordering a new Defender 110 CSW and then exporting it to Ethiopia.
I would like a few (not a huge amount, but enough) additions and wondered if the communal brain might be able to point me towards somewhere that I could get the work done duty free (it will not be UK registered, nor on the road in UK at all), good quality, reliable and won't fleece me!
I want a Hannibal roof rack (the type that stores the table under it), and pull out awning.
Not sure whether to fit an ARB recovery bar, or stick with the LR moulded A bar.
some underbody protection.
Extra lighting and most probably a winch.
waxoyled from new (Ethiopia summers are basically monsoon for two months!).
Long Range fuel tanks.
twin battery system.
Some anti bandit protection film such as profilon.
additional in line fuel filters (fuel quality can be very variable).
and that's about it.
It will be the family car for most of the time, but then when holidays and long weekends become available an adventure machine (not so much with wife and three children aboard, but certainly enough to be off the beaten track someway!).
So if you have any extra thoughts, they would also be welcome, but I do NOT want a full blown overland expedition vehicle, just something in between.
many thanks for reading.
Alan L.
