I have a Visteon 6500 CD unit which is now fitted in my 2002 TD4 (replacing a cassette player) but the patch lead which connects to the main harness doesn't have the steering wheel audio controls connected so I am looking for the correct one.

I contacted my local main stealer and they want over £100 for this! Has anyone got one they want to flog for a realistic price?? I have tried Halfrauds and Audioleads but neither have a lead suitable for the Visteon.

tbh mate i think your either gonna have to bite the bullet and buy the lead from the dealer or buy a new pioneer/sony etc and buy the autoleads patch leads with the latter probably being the cheaper option!

try fleabay theres loads of stuff like this.. I certainly cant vouch to it working but ya neva know!

It seems such a rip off for a patch lead which Halfrauds sell for about £8 - except its not QUITE the same is it  Buggered if I'm going to pay that much for a bit of wire with a LR part number.

The old cassette player lead just has the wrong connector for the remote controls so if I could just find out how it needs to be connected (only 3 wires) I could make something myself at no cost.

Has anyone got the pin outs for the Visteon 6500?

Try a breakers yard most of them on line now and you can see what vehicles they have .And then if they have any freelanders either call into them or make a phone call to find out if they have the part you need
