Where have you mounted your CB radios Disco I/II owners?

Evening all, I'm off to Morocco this summer and need a CB radio which is not a problem, but where to mount it is!

Why am I over here rather than the (relative) safety of the RR forum? Well, mine's a soft dash RRC, so same dash as the Disco I and largely II, and I bet more of you have fitted CB radio's than soft dash RRC owners.

Anyway, where can I mount it discretely? Only two places I can think are under the grippy mat on top of the centre of the dash (can cover any mounting/cable holes with the rubber mat afterwards) or in the armrest/cubby box - anyone else got any better suggestions?

Mines mounted underneath the rubber grippy mat inlay, chopped two slots in the rubber so the mount is underneath the rubber but the CB is ontop...factory freshness!

No pocket/tray in a Classic, and no threads for a soft dash Classic that I can see either!
