Ta. Ive just crushed a wing mirror against a stone wall and was basically looking for a cheaper way to get it fixed than Taunton Land Rover! I think its about £450 parts and labour - which is rather a lot for a nine year old wing mirror ...

I know nothing about Freelanders, so you'll want to post in the Freelander section. Probably best to say hello in the Introduce Yourself section first - it's best protocol ;)
I presume you've looked at online shops such as Paddocks, LRDirect etc?

Try Colin Whites in Glastonbury. They’ll likely have a few freelanders being broken and a decent used wing mirror will be a lot less that’s £450 and shouldn’t be difficult to fit.
 
Hi all,
I'm a new (and grateful, having had some good advice to a first post about a problem) member, from Warwickshire in the UK.
I've been a member of a Range Rover forum since I bought my Rover: 1988 Range Rover Classic, with a 200TDI from a later Range Rover swapped in for the old V8. Turns out the folk over there know a bit less about the 200TDI than here on LandyZone!

They're probably a bit too posh on a Range Rover forum to work on the engines themselves ;)
 
I am not from the UK, I am from California. Attached is a photo of my ride.

My name is Marty, I live in the middle of nowhere, central France.
I have a Disco 2. I was conned and it was a complete dog when I bought it.
However after spending huge sums of money it now runs ok /(sort of) and has the french equivalent of MOT.
Now I have lots of knocking from front shock so needs replacing and I can't identify which replacement part.

Hi Martin, welcome to the forum.
If you go on one of the online Land Rover parts shops you'll be able to identify it using their 'Identify by Model' system
Have a look on www.lrdirect.com you don't have to buy from them, but you'll get the correct part number.
