Managed to break the panel covering the subwoofer in the boot of my p38 (damn pop fixing wouldn't come out) anyway now I need a new one and some of those pop fixings.

Does anyone know where I could get hold of the panel (in grey) cheapily. I tried Ebay but couldn't find anything.

I guess I need a breakers?

Does anyone know of a decent one near London?

Also I had a rigid plastic tray (load liner) in the book of my Classic and I was wondering if there was anything similar for the P38 to stop the carpet getting covered in crap.

Cheers

good luck with that i been looking for same part for mine nobody wants to seem to sell one on its own mine was missing when i got it was one on ebay a time back wanted £50 was to far away from me norwch it was good luck

£50 for a bit of trim

Oh well hope I can find a breakers who want to sell me one, failing that I'll get the glue out.

What about those grey press fixings (that fasten trim panel to the car), where can you get those from?

Cheers

Cheers I'll give it a go and pop into the local main stealers with my crucifix.

That reminds me was in there getting a new key a few weeks ago and the label has rubbed off my key so don't know the number of it. The parts guy says well we can order a key but without knowing if it's key 1 or key 2 there's a risk that we'll order the same as the one you have there and then it won't work and we can't take it back. OK I said why don't you order key 3 as there's less chance that the key I already have is that one, oh says parts guy good idea  Muppet.

Then goes to collect key a week or two later and he goes off to get key and then give it to me in the envelope, I look at the envelope and then back at him and said well aren't you going to code it for me? Does this guy know anything?

Keeps me waiting for half an hour as the 'technician' is too busy to deal with it at the moment, can I come back next week he asks, no i f*****g can't I reply it'll only take 30 secs to sort out.

And they wonder why people try to avoid main dealers, idiots.

That looked good until I noticed that they have a standard postage of £5.95 for 6 panel fasteners (which cost 49p each) that must weigh no more than 30g, no way I'm paying that.

Cheers and if I happen to find a supply of beautiful virgin boot panels, fresh from Land Rover in some forgotten cupboard that owner wants to give away to a good home then I'll be sure to get you one. :D

You really must go to either Billing Aquadrome LRO show, there are lots of traders there selling s/hand and new old stock especially plastic mouldings, headlinings, trim clips at car- boot sale prices if you look hard enough you can pick up or locate a good source of almost any part. Similarly the Old Sodbury sort-out (Land Rover one) which is now held at Newbury Showground. You'll need all day to see some of this I am afraid! JV ROVERMAN.

Won't take long to get round Billing this year as most of the traders are going to Newark. Despite LRO's claims to the contrary.

I was told the keys had to be synch'd to the vehicle, if I could have taken the keys and driven away then why would the technician be too busy to deal with it and make me wait half an hour?

I am going to tart up for the time being but I'd quite like to replace at some point.

If anyone comes across 6 light grey panel fixing studs at a show for a sensible price I would be very grateful.

Hi, I have a 2.5DT so just the basic model with no subwoofer but will the panel be the same? Im upgrading to full cream interior so all my gray stuff will be taken out.. If i take the panel you require out, presuming its the same then your welcome to have it if you come collect it or arrange postage.? if this helps, pm me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can...

I'm not sure but I guess it will be different, there's a hole cut in the bottom of mine where the cd player used to fit.

However if you're replacing all those grey panel fastenings, I'd be very grateful if you could stick a handful in the post as I seem to keep finding missing ones. I'll PM you my address.

Cheers
