when to renew your 300tdi injectors???

so i got a new set of Bosch injectors sat on the side,
had my 300tdi for 3-4 years the mileage is unknown.
and running great

is there a rough time period/miles you should be looking to change them
or is it a case if it aint broke etc..............

any advice info comments

I've done 106,000 miles with my 300Tdi. I bought the car with 124,000 mils on the clock so I have no idea how many miles they've done. I don't like fixing what doesn't seem to be broke

I get black smoke when heavy on the accelerator could this be injectors?

That is over fuelling under load,and is normal.If the black smoke is excessive pump may have been over tweaked or blockage in air supply-air filter clean?

Don't flog the engine. Yes you will get black smoke when you do that. As you will get black smoke when you start up.
