noticed that when i switch engine off i hear a noise like air blowing and traced it to a pipe on passenger side of car at the front , looks like exhaust time gases are being blown out for a few seconds after switching off , what is it

Sounds very much like the FBH (Fuel Burning Heater), if the temperature is low enough this will kick in to improve heater warm up time, it will sometimes continue to run for a few minutes after you switch off.
I'm sure someone will explain it better but I'm on my mobile at the moment.

thanks makes sense , never heard of this before ;)

Isn't that the noise of the ECU cooling fan you hear ??

Sorry, misread, when it's the outside pipe it's the FBH. I was thinking of the noise of a fan you can hear on the inside, on the passenger (rhd) side of the car.
