Wheel Swap

Hi Guys,

I've picked up a 55 HSE that has the 18 inch wheels on it. I'd like to change them 1 - to get some suitable AT tyres on there for some offroading and 2 - for a better aesthetic.

Attached is the car in its current form and then also what I'm aiming for. Are the black wheels standard 17s, if so will they fit? As I understand not freelander wheels are interchangeable. Or is it a different size wheel/tyre combo?

The 18" sport wheels are the best looking wheels LR made, which most people want, so they command high prices.
Fit 235/55/18 Cross Contact tyres, and it'll go anywhere you need.


Going to 16" or even 17" wheels is a backwards step for everyday used IMO.
Sure use small wheels with aggressive tyres for off road fun only, but use 18's for daily driving.
The Freelander is horrible daily, on aggressive tyres, as they're just too noisy.

Stick with the 18's, and fit better tyres.

Michelin Latitude Cross are the bast all round tyres in 235/55/18.
The initial price seems high, but you'll only need one set of wheels for all surfaces you want to drive on.
