Hi All,
after selling 4 years back two DCPU because I was completely tired of owning a Defender, the sickness came back and picked up this one.

At a certain point the youtuber Jon Olsson owned, some videos of it are out there.
Overall the car condition is great, 37k miles and runs well.

Or that's what I thought:

#1
It is undrivable.
Initially I imagined due to these Trepadors at the end of their life and the overall suspension system that must messed up.
Above 40/50kph the steering wheel starts having a death wobble.

#2
The lift and tyre setup, was done purely for aesthetic purposes.
Nothing was reinforced or upgraded to sustain the weight of the tyres and the new lift.

#3
I'm going to have to open the transfer and gearbox box due to the clonking during gear changes.
Will open the diff and tyre axles to see what is broken.

In this first video you can see why I think the tyre axles might need work:

and here in the second why the diff needs to be opened and investigated

it's been a minute i posted with updates on the car.

after months of design, engineering, and sea freight I just received the wheels I designed for my defender. 20" with a -24ET together with 30mm spacer to fill the spectre arches that the care came with.
will be getting rid of the trepadaors for the Yokohama geolandar g015 325/60r20

I really satisfied with the final result, but as soon as I got them I realized that when I gsve the specs I never took into consideration that the defender wheel nuts have a conical end and the holes I made are flat. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
