Ya thinking I am have done Every thing else to it just wounderd what people views were on them

Up to you, loads of pros and cons.....

Means you can fit wider tyres, better turnover angle esp if you have a lift.

Further the wheel is from the bearings the greater the stress on them, same for hub to axle flange (ask WLM :p)

Worth remembering that if you have non-standard rims they may have a greater off-set anyway and spacers would add to that.

Tis a balancing act........shortened bearing life isn't a big issue so long as you check them regularily. A wheel falling off is a big issue though

If you're laning then going too wide can mean that your wheels won't sit in the ruts and you end up driving on the sidewalls, which can make it difficult to tell where your front wheels are pointing and if they suddenly bite you end up in the hedge or worse, down a bank.

I do like the look of wide tyres and they do give you a much larger footprint so generally (though not exclusively) more traction but the wider you go the greater and more problomatic the disadvantages

I got the 16" challanger wheel from 4x4 tyres instead of spacers ,gives plenty of offset, don't reck your bearings, you don't have to worry about them coming off and they look the bollocks, ultra strong too you can put a rope round a spoke and pull yourself out if your stuck!

A large offset will stress everything just as much as an equivilant spacer.

dont matter how you do it the further your wheels stick out from the axle the more stress you put on your bearings, its still the same leaveage.
Ive had spacers on my 90 for 3 years and never once had an issue with them, in fact they are coming off this weekend to go on the new 90 ive just bought and they`ll have 35`s on this time

Larger diameter also increases the stress. Fer myself I think I'd prefer to increase dia as much as reasonable for clearance rather than width.
