Wheel Offset & Larger Wheels Fitting?

My Dad's just bought a Freelander and is looking at getting some new alloys for it.

Can anyone tell me the offset a 1998 S reg Freelander would be?

Also, at the monent he has 16" alloys on, there's quite alot of room in the arches, up to what size wheels could he comfortably put on without scrubbing/problems etc?

I think ideally he's looking at 17"-18" anyhow.

Any advice/help appreciated

16" will have 215 65 R16 tyres fitted.

You could fit Freelander 17"s or 18's. Plenty of sets for sale in the Land Rover Magazines. Simmonites have several sets of brand new 17's with brand new tyres.

If your thinking of non LR wheels, then I cant help you.
