anyone recomend some good quality wheel bearing grease for my 300tdi ?
MTIA

Speaking as some one that has had LM grease turn to oil in wheel bearings it's better to stay with wheel bearing grease, this grease is formulated specifically to lubricate automotive wheel bearings, which turn at high speed.
Wheel bearing grease will tolerate the heat created by your brakes and transmitted to your wheel bearings.
Use LM grease for all the other greasing jobs u have although wheel bearing grease can be used for general purpose lubrication ball joints, prop shaft etc.

thanks guys , i'd got it narrowed down to these two

anyone used this stuff before of do you think its a bit OTT ?

wheel bearings dont get that hot any decent lithium based grease will do or if your going to wade off road use a calcium based water resistant grease

Castrol grease covers most things. Never u any thing that made in the USA .. Castrol data sheet for M-P grease as follows.

Castrol Multipurpose Grease is an extreme pressure grease intended for the lubrication of a wide variety of plain & rolling element bearings used within the automotive industry. It's excellent structural stability makes it particularly suitable for use in the wheel bearings of cars, buses and trucks where operating temperatures are within the limits specified.
Castrol Multipurpose Grease also exhibits excellent water and corrosion resistance affording enhanced component protection on the more exposed applications found on the vehicle chassis.

I'll second that James, I fitted new bearing, a few days later went through a ford and with in a day when I check the new bearings they were showing signs of rust forming.
