Hi All,

I have just changed the bulb in the digital clock in my 1998 Disco 1 and now most of the digits do not display anymore yet the bits that do display light up as they6 should???

Now when this happens on my digital watches I know the battery has gone, but since the clock runs off the car battery it cant be that.

I have checked that the wiring plug is in properly, I can only think that the clock has ticked it's last tock.

Before I decide weather to bother getting a replacement from ebay or scap yard, has anyone had this issue and fixed it???

Thanks

John

If the the power supplies are ok plus the one from the vehicles lighting circuit than it must be the LCD display that's iffy.

goody gum drops, I had to laugh had a look on the internet to see how much a new clock is, I thaught at a push they would be £10.00, no they want £217.00, I nearly ****ed my-self with laughing.

If it does not fix it-self I will unplug it and leave it, until a scrap yard gets one in.

there are loads on ebay for around £10.00

but try running your finger with a little pressure over the display, it sometimes remakes the cell contacts.. well worked on mine :D
