Whilst topping up my washer bottle I noticed this little dodaddy inline filter in the picture at the back.
Can someone tell me what the other end is supposed to be connected to?

Its a cheap and cheerful aftermarket fuel filter. Have a look on flea bay there's about half a million items on there.

I understand that it is some sort of filter but was wondering why one end is connected to a rubber hose and the other end nothing, I found it resting on the pipes and didn't know if it was supposed to connected elsewhere

It's the turbo filter, that's left open, although it's supposed to hang down the back of the engine, on a clip.
