You will have to turn up your volume to hear this
It's the ticking noise from behind the dash near the fuse box I think
I have everything switched of so no fan air con or radio

http://youtu.be/HsBGeRieVK0

Hope someone can help as I think it has something to do with the difficult starting and random cutting out i have been plagued with

Cheers

Alb

Just turn the key to position two and the noise starts

Hi
Quite hard to hear but from what you have said it sounds like it could be a relay causing the noise, which would also make sense with the noise coming from around the fuse box area.

Apart from the fuel pump, the noise could be the fan for the climate control - it's just behind the drivers side of the dash. I think it's to do with getting the cabin temperature reading, not the blower motor.

+1... the inside air temp sensor has a small fan to 'suck' air through it, it's behind that small grill near the mirror/headlemp level switches,,, it used to fill with dust and that's how it makes regardless of aircon on or off, it's fiddly to remove but do it, unplug it and see if the noise is gone or not

Sounds like one of those noises you don't need to worry about as there'll be summat more seriarse somewhere in the system.

I reckon keys rattling and fuel pump priming if it were my gaylander. :)

LOL
I feel this noise is a just live with it noise (turn up the tunes)
Anyway disco gone to the garage again for poor starting and random cutting out :-(
And it's not oil in the loom so I am stumped just hope it's not the pump
Bushwwacker you are on the money with this post
