Looks like one end of it has popped out...hmm, will have to get my meter out to test but think I need a new one - I must have broke it getting my wing off! oooeerrr!!

the XBL10003 label on that resistor is missing the last digit L, which idents it as the dim dip resistor current LR part number is still XBL10003L
just lifted from another site so yeah hes right

By the way, im not fitting my sealed beams back as I have new halogen ones...do I still need to wire in this resistor? I have heard halogens don't like running on lower voltages than stated?

Personally Id wire it out of the light circuit , side lights have been good for years with no probs - till they bought this dim dip rubbish out .
If everything still works as normal then I wouldnt waste your money on getting a new resistor .

some light systems use a resistor to either....
reduce the initial current draw
or
to identify when a bulb is blown.
doubt it on a deepender tho.
