Whats this for?

I have a Disco 300TDi 98. In the channel under the bonnet in-front of the windscreen either side of the screen-wash outlets there is an electrical connector. Anybody know what they are for?

They are electrical connections for a heated wind screen. if fitted.

If I remember correctly Land Rover decided to experiment with a few of the new Discoveries around the time yours would have been built and attempted to install optional extras for added comfort.

There were all sorts of things ranging from 12v kettles, toasters, coffee makers etc.
I'm fairly certain that from your exhaustive description that yours is for the 12v 4 slice toaster.
For confirmation of this can I suggest you stick a few photographs on.
