what's this called??

Wonder if anyone can help here..

My Disco came with a plastic bit on the bonnet..but is broken on one side, don't know what's the name of it to even try and find the price for a new one...

looks like something to deflect the wind? or water?

here's a pic, but it's not very good, I'll try and find a better one...



anyone know the name for the bit of plastic??
as you can see its broken on the right hand side..

They are ment to stop stone chips and what not on your bonnet, Very popular in America

Leave it off mate, By the looks of things you do alot of off roading and damaging your paintwork so really it is pointless Oh, And they look crap

Oh, yeah..... If you really want another one they are called "Stone Deflector"

thanks for the info, I dont dislike the looks of it and to be honest, watchin some videos of me, it kind of stops the water going over the bonnet..

will probably leave it like it is and dont spend money getting a new one

I thought they were bug deflectors, big in warmer climates.On ebay for 40-60 ish squids but none for a disco at the mo.

Looking on google, it would seem they are both bug and stone deflectors

more likely to deflect a bug than a stone though!

you guys not telling me you actually found some?

i must be doing something wrong, because I couldnt find any.. ebay or google... discovery or any other model

Apparantly the proper name is bonnet guard and they have some for sale here

suppose the price for the disco will be around the same... so I'll just let mother nature rip mine off and leave the bonnet without it.
