I have two bolts either side of the bulkhead/door pillar 19mm securing bolt. They are a 13mm nut on one side but look like a slot head on the other...i can only just get a spanner in there let alone a screwdriver!...

Anyone shed any light on this, looks like they secure the floor frame to the bulkhead.

Also, there is a big bolt going through the chassis below the drivers flor, it had a metal tab which i think was used for grounding something but it looks quite a big nut n bolt purely just to ground something.


So, if youve taken these off can you tell me how ya managed it :eek:)

'Ere joe, that big bolt goin' through the chassis doesn't have anything to do wi' the bulkhead stuff. Just found a photie with it showin' on mine...

Just rememberd, it's fur yer bolt in cross member under the gearbox;)
 
Aha, I have a new gearbox cross member so looks like they must have made new holes, I'll check in morning thanks.

Yes they are the two bolts holding the sill on that I'm on about, I'll av to try and clean heads up more but they look like pan heads from where I was lookin...may just cut em out.
Clutch pedal box came out sweet tonight by the way

Ye'd be best just cuttin' them out mate.. much easier;) Ah replaced mine wi' some stainless nuts and bolts. just nipped out and took a couple o' photies....

got em out after about 5hours of swearing at the 4 of them!!! jesus!!

Some smart alec put a weir bolt pair in there connected on a strip of metal (see below)

two bolts spot welded on either end of a metal tap....once the metal tap had rotted away i was just left with the round heads!


some genius' out there aint there!
