Right, trying to get across a gully wif me disco300tdi wif AT's on but keep gettin fookin stuck.

On entering it me engine guard hits the other side, however I can get the front wheels against the bottom of the far side by fookin about but by this time my rear wheels are on the edge of the nearside wif fookal grip, and expectin it to drop of onto mah tow bar.

It aint a vertical thing and it looks straight forward but I'm makin a fookin meal of it. Oh and its full of water and mud, in the middle of fookal so as dunt want stuck proper cause theres no fookin trees.

Shud ah be goin at a funny angle or summat.

Aye yer should allas cross a ditch or gulley at 45deg or there abouts that ways yer allas got 3 wheels in contact with the ground and yer dunt drop into the bugger. Unless it's a huge fooker. in which case it's straight down. and up tuther side. If it's too steep to climb into or out of use waffle boards to change the angle of the slope.

Brill, will give it a try, dunt want to put it on it's side it will be coming back loaded to fook.

good advice red :) when you drop in at an angle though just beware your tipover angle as this is quite likely on steeper gully's... you may end up on your side. suggest you try this with another vehicle around, just in case!

Well when yer get to the gully with the 1st load of trees. throw em in the bottom of the gulley and then go back for yer 2nd load and cross the gulley on top of the logs you threw in earlier when yu've finished chuck the 1st load back in the landy and roberts your aunty.

how wide is this gully? how deep and what are the slope angles?

Ok guys got across, in a fashion, the entry at one side is ok but the exit is fairly steep with a funny stupid hump that my tow bar dug into, but it's kind of gone now.

On the way back loaded the entry this time was too steep to get back in it kept grounding out with my front wheels dangling, and I ripped off the rubber mouldings on them stupid steps. I took it at an angle but it's scary but it went over with a bit of sliding.

I think the steps need taken off, and more agressive tyres, AT's are a bit too tame.

It had been raining all day yesterday and during the night and I think without the logs dumped in the watery bit I would have been fooked, so good idea big man, I dont think I'l pick them up at the end though they're well munched into the mud.

FFS don't cross it at an angle if it's that big. Like I said straight down if it's big enough to drive into it. If you catch at the top dig it away till you can drive over the edge.
