I know this sounds bizarre, and i think i know the answer already, but can someone explain why its there, i.e. what purpose does it serve? The reason being is we are making a kit car up using some Land Rover parts and im trying to work out if we need it for our application...

Cheers

As i said its not a land rover we need it for but yes id imagine if it was removed from a landy youd see all youre tyre in the mirror lol

Will there be any complex geometry in where to place a panhard rod (as i should be able to use this on our project as opposed to an A frame) or is it as long as the rods connected from one side of axle to other side of chassis rail its ok?

you would need front radius arms or some other method of stopping rotational movement to panhard rod on rear would only take care of lateral

Oh crikey yeah we have trailing arms, springs in turrets, shocks and just need to add a panhard rod now...

sweet, shud be pretty cool that like, should be careful with the single mount arms on the axle tho that they don't break, front arms would be better and stronger i reckon cos they bolt on in 2 places?

and also.... your choosing a Landy diff to go driftin!!!! d'ya have a few spares? lol

Well, Landy rear trailing arms and springs, but transit Axle and shocks, so looking to fit a 5th link somehow whether it be a frame or a rod....
