Whats the most you have towed?

Just wondering ? I towed a 17 or may have been less :s seat transit today with a broken clutch , think it was 3.5ton as it had the twin rear wheels? but still pulled it at 20mph without a problem, didnt want to go any faster. carried on well up steep hill aswell

I know this may be a dumb question, but is straw actually of any substantial weight when theres that much of it ? If you get the question haha

it is if you have a couple of ton of it

I was told this was 3.5 tonne, the trailer was even plated as such... Had to start in low range then swap to high. Lets just say I went 4 miles and decided to abort. It was fun though!

LOL didnt think you would be allowed to tow that much behind ? i only did as he was blocking a junction , and only had 3/4 of a mile to go?

I regularly tow 3.2-3.5 tons.

45-50 bales to a ton...the trailer weighs about a ton.

I've pulled more but on the road thats enough for my liking in a Series

Really? I never knew that but do now . I thought livestock eat out put in front of them .

why would you dry a food stuff

we worked it out I was pulling around 12 tonnes of bales. lots of bales ... and that was the first time I ever towed a trailer and involved a 3 point turn anorl.

had a bit more horsepower under the loud pedal than a landy though

you get damp in a hay bale and it will heat up in the barn and combust (the cause of a lot of barn fires). but if it gets wet, it rots. you dont particularly want either
