Due to a change in job I am going to have to sell my rangie.

It's a 4.6 v8 p38. It had a new engine 5,000 miles ago with flat top liners. It has also had all new shocks. All new air springs. I have put a tow bar on it. Transfer box has been re-furbished. BECM has been re-furbished. It had new brakes, discs and pads. I put on a reconditioned steering box.

Would just likes your thoughts on what I should put it up for...

Cheers

go to Ebay do a search for Rangerovers same age and spec as yours. then select the "completed Listings" box on the LH of the screen. you will then know what they are fetching on ebay. As opposed to what people with a vested interest in bumping the price up. think they are worth.

No I don't think it should be in that section - just wanted an opinion. Would want to sell it close to home.

What its worth and what you can get are very differant i would advertize between £1500 and £2000 maybe £100-£200 more if its exceptional! but prices do very quiet alot ive seen them go for £700 and ive seen them go for£3000
the petrols arnt worth as much as the diesels

The top hat liners will add to the price I'm sure, so make sure you mention that in your ad!

I's say nearer £2500 to £3000 if it's got all the toys. The milage is not that high.

I agree with this. Put it up for 3k first and see how you go.

The V8 is better. A top hat block and an LPG installation would be the best of both worlds for me. I'm going to talk myself in to buying this thing if I'm not careful.

Here is a top hat linered 4.6 V8 from 1998.

It already has LPG fitted, but I don't think that adds much to the price TBH. It's also been to the moon and back.

I doubt they'll get what they're asking, but it gives you an idea.

In fact, looking at the state of the carpets and the footwells, and the seats, and the non LR tow bar, they'll be lucky to get half what they're asking!
