What Would You Do?

Hi everyone.

At the end of this month I've got an important family do near Scotland. I've beeen named as designated driver which suits me fine...

My dilemma is this and I have two options

Option A, do i take the Rangie and spend the whole 4 days away with everything crossed hoping and praying it doesn't let me and the family down and spoil everything. Resulting in certain disownment and sarcastic remarks for ever more about "that time it broke down"

Or option B take the newer 4x4 which has just the same amount of room and is very reliable, but has no soul what so every unlike the p38 and I don't find it very fun to drive...

I've got plenty of adventure. but can I be doing with the grief if it was to die in the side of the A1 half way lol

If everyone always took the safe option we'd have never left the caves and stomped out fire for being too hot.

Take the Rangie and buy the family train tickets! If you're late for the 'do' just say you took the scenic route!

Spose the funniest end of the story (for us) is that you took the other 4x4, and that broke down

Take the Rangie. You'd be bored in the other one not having to watch the temp gauge, eas lights, hearing a noise you'd never noticed before etc etc.:crazy_driver:

No eas lights its on springs so one less light to look out for, mind you it still beeps at him every time he switches it on just to remind him !

I think you should walk.

Coils can often mean it's been poorly maintained.
I'm about to do about 1000 miles in 2 weeks on my annual trip to the UK, no hesitation in taking the P38 and no AA/RAC cover from France.
