What type of sound proofing

Ello again, this summer I am going all out with the sound proofing, floors, firewall, roof, everything. The problem is, I don't know weather to choose foam sound proofing or to go with the more expensive Dynamat or equivalent (which is the same but half the price). I will be putting some sound deadening paste on the underside of some panels too. Will probably be carpeting over the interior sound proofing as well (at least over the wheel wells and the roof anyway). Yes I have searched but could only find people with Cadillac Escalades packing their doors with either type to get more bass to woo teenage girls... Share your experiences / preferences?

Seriously? There's more threads on here about sound proofing than I've had hot dinners. Have you searched on landyzone instead of google?

+1, from what I recall rubber Stable matting might be a cheaper alternative

Yes I did have a look thanks and yes there are indeed a fair few of these threads but none cover what I am looking for. I looked at the stable matting but that's far too thick for what I want. I am definitely going to be buying one of the two I mentioned, just not sure which one Doing and interior overhaul - stable matting wont really look the part

I'm looking at the maritime stuff and see how that goes. Keeps the cold out too!.

I could use both types to make it really quiet will be £££££ though lol
