what turbo do i have??

hi

i have an e reg 90, with a 200tdi retrofit

my turbo went last week. so i got a 2nd hand one off ebay from a 200tdi disco. an m27 garret. waited 5 days, got it, the compressor bit that says garret m27 is the same but everything else is different. when i looked at my mates disco i could see his turbo is mounted below the rocker cover mine is above

its my work wagon so im desperate. im attaching an image. if someone could shed some light so i can get it fixed, i will be eternally grateful

defender 200 tdi turbo sat above engine part number is ETC8751

not sure as yet but have heard you can swap housings so if you already have both might be worth a try.
