What to do?

Not been on for a long time, so hello again.
We the time has come to get another Disco.
At the mo we have 2 cars, 1 older 2lt petrol h/back, 1 newish tdi h/back.
The question is, i have seen 2 disco's one old w reg Auto ES 105000miles FSH from a garage, The other is an 04 ES auto 63000miles which is at Nene Overland.
The cost to change is about the same for both cars, ie old - w reg, newish - 04 ES.

So What to do?

Anyone had any dealings with Nene, what are they like?

The price differance in the value of the cars to the purchase price of the Disco's.

IE

Old Skoda Fabia - Old w reg disco.

Newish skoda Roomster - 04 disco.

Ahh, So its either a W disco or an old fabia or an 04 disco or a skoda?

That's it. we have two skoda's at the mo, one of them will go for a Disco.

I wudnt say no to an 04 disco but then again i wudnt say no to a 2000 either

I'd get rid of the old Fabia and get the W-reg. But then it depends if it's a good price or not!

New Skoda's are actually cool, I really like the Roomster but I'm afraid old ones still have that stigma about them.

The Fabia is a modern designed Skoda and is swmbo's pride and joy

guess wots next door

depends what you're gonna do with the disco. if your just using it as a car, and keeping it nice then go for the 04 and polish it on a sunday. If you're going to off road it and give it grief, go for the w and then you won't mind when it gets scratched and dented.

of course, if you're only going greenlaning, then you're caught in the middle.

is there lots of elektrickery on an 04 Discovery?

Well i Think we are going for the older one, As it will be used as a play thing as opposed to being kept polised. Then we have a 2 year old reliable Family car that will do 60mpg and able to go 600miles on a tankfull (50lts)
With the money saved buy going older will leave some money for a mod or two!!

In Very good condition. all for £5300. 12mths MOT
Might have paid a bit over but very happy with the car and deal.
Just got to wait for a couple of weeks to pick it up, as i have to have a minor op in a few days.

Got offered between £4500@ £5000 on the disco against the defender

snot bad for a px price redwings you could buy about 8 rr classics for that
