1996 3.9 V8i ES disco

Ok so my exhaust is shot blowing rusty holes in all places. I have purchased a shiny new rear section direct replacement ready to fit but I'm not sure what to do with the middle section???
I want my disco to produce a nice V8 grumble like an American muscle V8
So I was thinking a straight through middle section but would there be a lack of back pressure causing engine trouble??? Or can I get away with enough pressure from the rear section???

"V8 grumble like an American muscle V8" you'll be lucky those engines are a lot different in design to the Rovers, yes you need a certain amount of back pressure for the engine to run correctly, as you intend to do a non standard fitment you will have to experiment to see if your Efi ECU can cope.

Something U will also have to try and get away with is the MOT, u must know what is stated in the mot testers manual about modified exhaust systems, and additional noise.

With regard to the noise. My MOT tester said it wouldn't be an issue as it would have to be extreme loud for it to fail. He gave the example of most Harley Davidson motorcycles that are literally deafening as standard
