Santa bought me a new a bar with twin wipac 100w spots. He was also kind enough to buy a preprepared wiring set up as he knows I am an idiot when it comes to electrickery.
The wiring provided attaches to the positive terminal of the battery, has a blade fuse (assumed 30 amp would be ok), then runs to a relay, from the relay comes a male three wire, female three wire, and two wires one for each spot. I took the female off the back of the headlight bulb and plugged in the new male from the relay into the old female. I then plugged the new female from the relay onto the back of the headlight bulb. The two wires running to the spots connect with bullet connectors and have a snug fit.
When I switch on the headlights the old headlights work and full beam works on the old headlights but he spots don't come on. The voltmeter says there is no current at the end of the red and black wires that connect to the spots.
Is a 30 amp fuse the wrong thing to use? What else can I do?? What tests would you run to work out where the problem was?
Thanks
