Hello!

I currently have a 2.5 NA petrol LPG converted and will be looking to do a 200tdi conversion in the next year or so, however my radiators has sprung a small leak. I was going to change the radiator anyway, so what radiator can I buy now that will be fine to use with a 200tdi?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Many thanks

And I know I would have to alter the frame for the radiator or get a new one but would I have to make any other mods to fit it in and get it to work with the 2.5 petrol?

Thank you

I am trying to find what radiator I can replace my current broken one with, that will work with my 2.5 petrol until I change the engine to the 200tdi and then continue to use the radiator. So I will need one that can go with either the 2.5 petrol or 200tdi, if it is practical and possible.

Right I get you :)

The problem is that the 200Tdi rad has an inbuilt oil cooler. I would suggest that you cap the two connections to the cooler on the radiator while you use it with the petrol engine until you swap over and then you can plumb in the cooler pipes from the Tdi as originally intended.

When you get around to doing the conversion, you'll also need an intercooler which sits next to the radiator - even if it's not connected up, you could fit that now. You'll need to lower the mounting brackets for the radiator - most people cut them off and reweld them 25mm lower. Also, you'll need to modify the top mounts in some way if you want to use the existing brackets. The tdi radiator frame has two lugs on the sides which need to be cut off before it'll fit - I welded these into the top of the frame so that the original brackets would still hold it in place.
