Mine had some weird gear oil in when I bought it and getting a gear whilst it was cold was a nightmare,
I swapped it for mtf94 L/R recommended and it was still poor so on the advice of a local Indy landy garage I used a decent ATF and it's much better now!

Some numpty had put ep gear oil in mine  No wonder it was hard to get in gear from time to time.

MTF 94. It is a bit of a job to get hold of some and at a reasonable price. My local Halfords doesn't even sell EP90 in 5l containers so very little hope of getting anything more exotic.

Try Amazon or Ebay. You can get 1l at around a tenner and you will need three of them. Alternatively you can get 5l for around £40 if you hunt around a bit.

I will see what it is like after the change. Getting into gear isn't too bad though I have nothing to compare it to. If the gearbox oil is like the axles and engine oils it should be a marginal improvement.

correct station house mtf94 which is fully synthetic engine oil I think  nrgserv told me whats what he know's the crack.

MTF stands for "Manual Transmission Fluid"...it is not an engine oil.;)

I wouldn't use ATF if it were mine.
