Hi

With all this talk of snow, have decided it's time to repair my parents crash damaged Disco. It was only a light front near side collision with a wall. I have found most parts online, such as inner wing, bumper support bar etc. However i'm at a loss as to what panel / part I need here...

I have tried searching on the internet etc but to no avail.

Thanks

Andrew

check out LRO International magazine, they are doing a rebuild project on a crash damaged Disco 1. it probably has all the part numbers you need, including the above item! :D

Been reading a copy of LRO Int. my only problem is I get carried away and think of all the things I could do! If only it was mine then that would be fine, however its not! :(

Thank you arienol, I emailed the guy yesterday asking if it would fit a 300 series and he wasn't sure. Does anyone know if the 200 series bulkhead differs to the 300? If so is it much of an issue to fit?

Thanks again guys!

Andrew

how perfect does it need to be, i repaired mine - it's held together with spot welds which are easy to drill out, all you need to do is bash it back into shape and weld it back together, much quicker than stripping it out.

I'd quite like to do a good job on it. I had a ding in the front on my car once and the front bulkhead / landing panel was badly twisted. I smacked it out as best I could, but I can still see it's there and it bugs me. For the sake of £50 and messing about stripping, bashing etc, I'd rather swap the whole lot out tbh. That assumes that it would be a straight / relatively easy fit, otherwise it may well be hammer time!

Yeah it's worth changing if you want it right.

Mine a bit bent I think somewhere cos I hit a tree once.

All is fine apart from the grill is closer to the bonnet on the drivers side. And yes I've tried jumping up and down on it and that sort of thing but can't seem to align it better without bending something else. So it's staying as it is now.

Cheers :)
