Hi all, I posted a short while back, I was having trouble with my td4 freelander, it was holding back power and scaring the shi* out of me when pulling out of a junction or round about, thanks to all for the advice given, I finally got around to removing the plug from the maf sensor today and while I was looking around I noticed a tube with what looked to be a small cone shaped (in line fuel filter) but it was only connected to a pipe at on side of it, this was just about 4/5 inches down from the maf /s plug, clipped to a solid pipe, dose anyone have any idea's on what its for and should it be connected to anything else ( sorry Ive got lost on this, while typing, just had a sleeping tablet and god it feels good:confused: :D  ) any help would e good on this thanks

hi lisa,if memory is correct its the boost pressure regulator filter,it only needs to be conected to that one pipe, needs to be changed every service, and make sure its clipped into the holder ring.

thanks, that's the one , Ill make sure I put it back on the clip in the morning,,going back to my maf sensor how do you clean it thanks

hi lisa,if you buy a spray tin of carb clean at your local mdc,and give ita good spray with that, then blow it out with a low pressure air line,i gather its a loss of power issue?if that does,nt work id try a new one.is the mil lamp coming on?also if your losing boost pressurethis will give you the same symtoms, but the mil lamp might not come on,check all the pipe work very care fully, you will probably have a hole in one of them some where hope this helps.

thanks ming, it looks that way, I was going to buy one to gain a bit more but this has been putting me off,
