Hi all,
Have a Disco 1, fitted originally with a V8, but the previous owner fitted a Tdi "Wheezel", which i have found, is out of a Defender.
When i first got it, it seemed very good on fuel, and pulled OK, if that's possible But I was wondering if the reduction in fuel economy, and it's sluggishness, would be down to the Injectors being C**p.......
The Engine No. starts with 16L, which i'm told is a defender, but not sure if it's 2.5, or a 300 Tdi, as I didn't fit the engine, and cannot contact the guy to find out either.......
How do I tell the difference? And would fitting new 'jectors give me any noticeable improvements?
Thanks all.........
Nick.
