bought an air filter for it.Although it dont look right to me.That sed nothing on me motor has been right so far, wrong front prop, oil filter etc.

got me new mot taday only 2 small problems 1/hole in inner wing about the size 2" round but within 30 cm of the suspension mount ......... front drivers light no pattern found ............ the bloody bulb was,nt fixed into the retaining clip properly !!!
so got to work with the welder !!!!!!!
cheapest mot ive have done for years !!!

Noticed the rear brakes were sounding rough on braking so got some help to fit new pads (I've not done brakes before), slight complication ... seized pistons & brake pads with plenty of pad on them but fell apart upon removal! Brake pipe connectors were'nt too healthy either, ended up cutting the pipes to remove them.

So new pads escalated to new calipers, just waiting for brake pipe connectors to arrive tomorrow morning so we can finish off & bleed the brakes:frusty: ... also fitted new handbrake shoes whilst we were at it. All in all a very frustrating & expensive day I did not forsee:Cry::Cry:

found out what the rattle is when i go over a bump!
the drag link end is fooked an i got loads of side to side play on both front wheels but no top t bottom play.
when i give it a wiggle it makes a nasty clunk, about 7mm of play either way, an it's only been on less than a year!
bastid cheap paddocks crap:banghead:
so thats tomorrows job

Today i've been mainly taking the gearbox out me disco 200 to weld the clutch arm, i take it 3 hours is slow
twas me first time

Temp' repair carried to belt tensioner (300tdi). Went to pull off me drive and the p/steering 'ad gone complete with batt' warning light on.
Thought the belt had sh!t out but oh no.... the stud holding the tensioner had sheared at the engine side leaving leaving the aforementioned sat on the water pump pulley.
Spoke to LR Knutsford and they can get me a new stud.. BUT, they only come in bags of five. Will have to take that on the chin, but in the meantime I have reversed the stud after having to Eaziout what was left of the other end. Seems to of done the trick for now, only prob' being the nut is hanging on for dear life by about four threads.

Sorted ! Found a cracking little place not two miles from me specialising in LR parts. Did'nt even know it was there. Gotta a new stud..89p. Thats more like it. :):)
