Free'd off the turbo wastegate linkage.....AGAIN!!!! and greased my prop U/J's.

Drilled some holes in the body repair sections and did a little riveting

Fitted a new MUC9220.

Bloody bodge artist! :fencing:

Replaced the horn with one that works and sorted out the headlights!

Bribed number 2 son to wash it - traded for a haircut ...

Removed steering guard, track rod and drag link. New TRE's and Drop Arm ball joint tomorrow.

Changed engine oil, adjusted steering box (a midge too tight) , removed steering wheel to fix grinding contact spring for the horn and fitted a rear ladder using riv nuts.

Very productive afternoon.

Brought a couple of air jobbies with wee compressor.

Fitted a new top & bottom hose on the 300tdi, realised that the bracket which prevents them being damaged by the water pump pulley is missing, went......"ahhhhh", then fitted a new temp sensor for the gear box oil cooling.

Went for a drive




My missus drove over a rock the size of a fiat panda, which wrecked the steering damper & bend the rod, meh.....

Had some of those on a Mini, very loud and cheeky

did some wiring, messed with exhaust, checked prop length gave up on mine as I messed up a measurement on the rear tub and need to re cut the ally floor plate so moved onto other series and fitted new gear lever so you don't smash your hand when going for first or reverse

Never

Stripped back wheels and fitted new studs. This time they fitted . Striped out cleaned and refitted brake and clutch pedal. Fixed reservoir and stripped old worn flex hoses in prep for all new brake line coming.

Started to paint the POR-15 stuff onto rock sliders and various axle parts.
By god that stuff is evil!
