May put a red cross on Silverlandy. Been to hospital and back (23 miles each way) most days this week, firstly my dad collapsed last week and rushed to hospital, me and mum following the ambulance in the landy me driving like a loon, the ambulance driver wanted to blue light but told dad "i dont think i will blue light...its going to make them two panic behind" oh dear :eek:Thankfully he's ok but 4 days later taking my husband nearly every day now who may need urgent back surgery. May buy shares in Shell soon!

It all seems to come at once, hope everthin turns out all right for you:)

Removed other hub, first took 4hrs, second took 1hr. I'm well chuffed, although swivel is pitted and will need replacing. Brought an air ratchet and impact wrench, wow what a difference should have bought them years ago. Having the right tools makes all the difference.:)

Collected Scratchy from the garage at Crossways, Mark had fitted a new transfer box and rear prop. For a hundred notes I fought it was worth getting him to do it.

Changed the front springs and shocks this evening, nice 'how to' Trewey, fanks. Would've struggled big time without it. Not that I didn't have a few difficulties and ... Namely the off side shock not being attached at the bottom, no wonder I had a steering wobble on fast right-handers; the near side bottom nut being so rusted that it was actually part of the shock stud - cue big drill and bigger hammer.

Now Scratchy's got nice new Terrafirma shockers and Bearmach springs. I fink ee's nearly ready for some lanes!

Started running the 110 on a bit of veg oil again (specifically, 100% pure sunflower oil ;)) and used it to pick up my younger brother from school! Got some right dirty looks from all the mothers in their Landcruisers, and some admiring ones from their sons as I trundled past! :D

at long last done my front wheel bearing,
topped up both front hubs,
checked front diff oil level,
had a look at f/o/side disc as it apeared to have a 1 inch band of "rust" on the outer edge, that chipped of easy with a hammer, so cleaned it all off then with engine running, first gear, hub spinning nicely, gave the rough looking area a nice finish with my angle grinders new disc flat edge.
checked it with a straight edge, and appears firly flat.

put a new disc pad back in..
tried it down the road,
and it still stops...................will look at it in a few days of wear...

Oh how I miss being back in work....errrr, no, not really, but miss having a nice little lathe that would swing disco discs with ease...

Front springs and shocks out, there didn't seem to be much attached to the front axel so unbolted prop and removed it. Only took the wheels of to nip up the wheel bearings................told the wife who's car it is it'd only take a day.

Although there fairly new I'm going to re-paint the terrafirma shocks and springs as the paint they use is crap and has already started showing rust spots.

fitted the new fuel tank in the back of the 90 just have to plumb it in and add derv .
also popped over to taunton and picked up a replacement seat box as the 1 in the 90 is set to fall apart (electrolsis) , not bad £20 off the bay

Took the intercooler off mine to flush it out, put a few litres of petrol in it, sealed it and left I've left it to soak overnight, see what difference it makes, I've heard it's worth doing, and it's cheap if it give's a bit more power :D
