Today I replaced the starter I took off a week ago and then altered passenger seat mounting to make quick release to get at battery incase of emergency. Planning on a few lanes around Llangollen tomorrow ......

Yeah we both got out ok. Looked like exhaust heatshield? Ill try get some pics up. But whin i usually try from photobucket it says file invalid.
Think the air spring melting gave bit of fuel to fire.
Fookin scary though

Finished spraying my wheels. Halfords "stealth" black. They look much better that the scruffy silver but they're much to shiney. Have to go and get them dirty tomorrow.

Just seen truck cab 90 with a stacker. No noise? Real nice, bit of luck will bump into him and get a proper look.

Today i will be listing the disco for breaking......

Shifting the 90 to garage for gearbox fix. Worth just putting disco transfer on while at it. Only a td. Not doing the conversion yet

Was it purple by any chance?

****! The P38 burned out? That sucks bud!

Hope it's not too badly damaged :(

Today I fitted my Raptor dash properly, fitted my new JVC head unit and fitted and wired up the CB.

Also tightened a wheel bearing and gave the interior a jolly good clean.

Tomorrow, I'm going to start fitting polybushes to the suspension. Have been spraying all of the nuts and bolts with penetrating fluid for the last month, so hopefully it won't give me too much trouble...

Watched it burn out at side of m20

Hard luck, hope you and yours are all OK ..

Had a Renault Laguna burn out 2 miles after a botched main service .. company car so main renault dealer .. full tank of petrol kept feeding fire, took four fire engines, emptied them all and fire still didn't go out, they used the water from the fifth to keep the road from burning!!

Sickening thing to happen ...

Swapped the 16" wheels off 'new' '53' disco with 18" 'super singles' on W reg outgoing model. Going well until managed to shear a wheel stud, let a few naughty words escape, had to rob a stud off the W reg and swap it.
Just as well I sheared it as the stud's head had come off at the back of the hub plate and it could have pulled through the lot!

Anyone a spare D2 wheel stud?

pulled the box out yesterday, rebuilt the box today, then decided that i want to replace a bearing that is nearly fine but i might aswell do it. so i have to wait till monday afternoon before i can replace the bearing and refit it ready for tuesday. got a toybota yaris to bugger about with too, a phantom squeaking noise coming from one of the ancilliaries, either an idler, the water pump or the alternator. they all feel and sound perfect when you take the belt off and spin them

Question on a lot of peoples minds I expect!? Was it stuck because the vehicle wasn't up to it? or was it driver error? Good pics by the way! :D

Both.

He shouldn't have been there, couldn't read the terrain and decided to turn around instead of reversing in the steepest and deepest mud section. The low ground clearance and 5 occupants along with a large dose of driver stupidity meant he had the vehicle bellied out on a slope on very soft soil with nothing hard underneath for his tyres to bite in
