Just replaced N/S/F airbag, such an easy job. Hardest part was waiting for it to build pressure again while crapping myself thinking 'It's taking a long time, hope I haven't f***ed something'.

Old bag was proper knackered, perished right through the cords. Cut it open for a noisy to find at was even cracked inside. Surprissed it hadn't burst.

Replaced the rear brake discs and pads, like yesterday but I did the fronts yesterday :D
Also my dad welded the new spring mounts onto the chassis because the N/S one had a hole in it, so thought it best to change both both, so thanks for that dad :)
Had a hell of a lot of steel to grind down so 1/4 of the chassis ended up as swarf in my hair :D painted them and I'm probably going to wire brush the corrosion on the chequer plates sills and rear quarters later and then re-spray them with etching primer then a coat of black :biggrin1:

plugged into my new , yes you heard it right, my new hawkeye electrickery machine and turned of my three amigos , all by myself , arent i clever :)

Started it up after the battery had died over the winter. Looks like my 2nd battery is dead too. Wondered what the rattly sound was and remembered it only has half an exhaust fitted. Might move it tomorrow so I can cut the grass thats growing over it.

If you want me to get you a battery cheap from work let me know. It's summit like £35 +vat for a genuine GM 075 battery.

gave it a bit of a blow out , and thorough off-road testing  .
thought i was going to hold up our group and probably not do the full day, but she went the full distance (if a bit under powered tbh still have fuel starvation issues hopefully sort it soon)
need some rain now to fill my water barrel up so i can get the preassure washer out :D

Swore at it, threatened it, bodged it, hit it, cursed the day I 1st set eyes on it :mad::suspicious::censored::frusty::frusty::frusty:

AND......

Fell in love with it all over again :D

Popped the headless engine back in all by myself, went in like a dream. Just head back on tomorrow and pipe it all up and see if she runs

Cleaned it out, washed it, filled it up with doozel and fitted the Safari snorkel :p

We have a huge oak tree in the garden so garden dries up in the summer. We fitted a cess tank in the garden and modifed an old pump. All the rainwater from the house goes in there. No problems now
