changed o/s swivel seal (the proper way) thats both done now, when cleaning up the brake caliper i noticed a pad pin missing  been driving it around since i had it with one pin in...so managed to get a new one, all back together two new swivel seals, swivel bearings, backplate, both calipers cleaned, greased, brakes bled (one new bleed nipple on one caliper :frusty: )...it's got to be the dirtiest job i have ever done on any car...hopefully won't be done again for a while

Finished putting the floor in the first FFR and fired it up for a drive. First time in a couple of years. Drove like a beauty after I washed all the red dust off.

After having pressure washed the chassis last weekend i got some black waxoyl and painted the chassis today, im well chuffed as there are no signs of anything more than surface rust even on the rear x member! Now bearing in mind its an H plate with only 76000 on the clock and hasnt turned a wheel hardly in the past 13 months I think thats pretty good

got meself some gear oil and made a spout out of a plastic bottle .................and then couldn't get any of the fecking filler plugs out because i'm a feeble girlie:mad::eek:
did manage to fit new super long rear axle breather tho, was already holes in the rear floor where a roll cage was once fitted so just popped the end up through one of them and fixed it by side of rear door:) and only got one lump of mud in me ear while crawling underneath lol:rolleyes:
also hopefully sorted the problem with passenger seatbelt , packed underneath the bracket with some washers and 'stuff' to stop the bracket tilting backwards and setting of the locking mechanism:cool:
