Got a couple of bits done today,
Gearbox oil, put some Evo 1 in (lets see if it's any better than ATF)
Diff oil EP90
And fitted my new steering guard (it didn't want to fit, technical adjustments had to be made with a drill and a big hammer)

between today and yesterday, fixed hub leak, replaced osr wheel cylinder, adjusted and freed the hand brake now just got to get it booked in for the mot for a re-test, although im not sure if i want to take it back to the same garage as they didnt know how to turn the lights on!!

Well Friday and Saturday I removed detroit from my old salisbury, removed my diff from my current axle swapped over the detroit center and re installed it into my axle.

Freed of my nato hitch because it was seized and half made a side storage locker for the 90 to go between the rear wheel arch and seat box. Repainted my old front tubular bumper ready to fit my winch back on. Getting there slowly!

I decided to change my startor motor after a year of it playing up. been using a bar to short it for the last 6 months:( went to start it with my bar last week and nothing :) so i started to remove it finding as ive fitted a disco engine to my 90 it was a tad awkward what ever i did :( after removing the exhaust from down pipe motor still would not squeeze out removed the special made down pipe from turbo to get bit more room still would not come out had to prize the engine away from chassis about an inch for it to drop past finally got it out not gotta put another one in just as fkin awkward but its now done without smashing something with a big bat :)

Replaced the handbrake cable, new drum shoes, the rear transmission seal and set the handbrake. Done all the above as handbrake has not worked for last 7months once removed the drum cover i could see why straight away, sorry no pic's but the amount of dirt and gearbox oil within was alot and took alot of cleaning to remove.

re-tested and this time IT PASSED :) going to replace n/s swivel bushes and pins in the near future as a matter of precaution.

just got to tax it at the end of the month and go play. :D :D :D

Nothing interesting,
Quick hoover our and wash and polish.
Ready for the manky british weather to attack.

Really need 2 new tyres and the tracking sorting....

Adjusted my lock stops a bit to ensue my new larger tyres don't rub and fitted a new rubber seal to the bottom of my newly repaired passenger door. What a stupid design! what a poorly produced component! What a stupid fitting method, why do I have to drill holes in my new paint to fit the stupid thing, stupid, stupid stupid, and I can still see daylight in the corner 'cos its a stupid design.
