Drove it into a Metal Post in a car Park :D

I pulled up into a space with a car infront of me, i jumped out went round the back popped into the shop came back around the back of landy jumped in and the car infront and gone so i decided i would pull forwarded out the space as it was easier than reversing and driving around to the exit.

Unfortunately there was a 3ft ish post in front of the Landy that was well below bonnet level that i hadn't seen.

suffice to say a loud bang and a sudden stop and a nice dent in the front bumper.

I tied a strop around a tree and around the bumper and reversed back to pull most of it out :D

Good thing it wasnt a freelander, it would have fallen to pieces!

Well the 300 tdi started today but blue smoke from the timing chest:eek:

Belt adjuster wheel siezed and burned the new timing belt..should have put new adjuster wheels on with the new belt when I did it months ago. Dooh.

Stripped it an getting new belt kit tomorrow.

Got drop arm off steering box...what a job..had to take the box to garage an use oxy bottles and a hydraulic puller so took disco box as well and got the arm off that ready for new seals.:)

Did mine recently ... I know the feeling ... used an angle grinder very carefully on mine

I know...:(
Used a hydraulic puller and battered it in a big vice but no joy. Took some getting off with heat as well but got it in the end:D

Makes you cheer loudly when it comes loose though ... much to the neighbours amusement in my case :)

Wouldn't mind but it wasn't leaking that much, just me trying to get everything right so as I dont have to bother with it for a year or two.:)

Nothing on mine !!! but had to help Mr know it all, down the road with his ... he spent 2hrs trying to get the down pipe out from under the motor ...

Not really today,

Yesterday, I changed my swivel ball seals on my Disco also changed the inner hub seals the ball joint on the drag link and the track rod end on the same side

Cleaned EVERYTHING! regreased the bearings new gaskets etc

Thats one big tick on the to do list and has added another job cos the backplates have been rubbing on the discs where they have rotted.

Might eventually get the old girl done Though I am enjoting the challenge!
