Today I put a new parcel shelf roller blind bracket thing (load space cover retainer) on so I have two and a cover that works despite being the wrong colour. I didn't bother to take a camera with me to do a fitting guide because I reckon most people can handle two self tappers....

The only interesting thing about this is that when I was looking for the part I saw some joker selling a set of salvaged ones for £15 but the brand new one from britcar was £3.91, lesson learned to not always assume you'll find a bargain on ebay!

Now to find a beige cover to replace the grey one or wait til I can afford a new one.

Did the finishing touches on the paintwork of the Series 3 that I'm doing up and refitted the rad and panel. It can finally start going back together now. It seems like it has taken forever to get to this stage. Oh then it started raining so we got it back in the garage and the suns come back out now. Typical.

Managed to back the Disco up with help from Mr Muddy Gonzo so I could jump her but now the fuel system won't bleed through.

Been pumping away on the lift pumps lever for about half our and still nothing coming through the bleed screw, i'll try again in the morrow.

Done an actual repair! Removed and repaired window ecu, fixing the intermittent rear window issue in ma discovery (with a little help from my brother in law, don't trust myself soldering). Plenty of guides all round the internet but they seem a bit optimistic about parts just sliding out easily. Light has gone for the day so tomorrow I'll put the glove box back together.

Removed both axles and suspension from the Series - it's nothing but a chassis now! A little bit of welding required, then much application of the wire brush/flap disk. My garage is looking rather full.

Waxoiled the old girl today ready for what i hope is gonna be a snowy winter like last year.

got mine on my mates hgv ramp and spent over an hour blasting all the crap off from last weekend. was like black dan when i'd finished. definitely needs something spraying all over downstairs, was thinking of maybe recycling some of my mates used engine oil. can't wait for the snow.

Prepped for mot next week.
Power stering bled, alt belt n wiring done, brakes bled, lights sorted.
Now i just have to cross my fingers...

Chucked some strops in the back of it ready for tomorrows green laning. And replaced a broken indicator. Also listened to what sounds like a tensioner on its last legs, guess that'll be the next job.
