failed in cut on inner sidewall on one tyre. will give me a ticket if I take it back tomoz with "noo" wheels and tyres fitted..............

Picked up some new pistons and seals for my caliper, took it apart bar one piston that would not budge.
Took the old seals out, tried putting in new seals and metal rings. Knackered two rings before i gave up and put the old stuff back in to get me home. Gonna pick up another set of seals tomorrow and try again.

what are you using to get them out? i like to use compressed air and clamp the other pistons in

Well armed with a new seal kit yesterday i had another go and i'm happy to report i succeeded! Popped new pistons in (longer as RST gave me the wrong ones) re-fitted the caliper and bled the system and all seems well.
I did use the air line to pressurise the caliper and push the pistons out. Got 3 out with this method, however the last one still wouldn't budge.
Ended up putting a thin piece of wood in the gap of the caliper that allowed all the pistons to move out about 3/4 of the way.
Then as i was replacing the pistons any way i put the caliper in a vice clamped the last problem piston with the mole grips and hit them with a hammer till it pulled it free. :lol:
Crude but effective.

i stuck the callipers on the rear axle and put nice new copper/nickel brake pipes on also dug out my old spare wheel with no tyre on to get it shot blasted

**** the seal kit supplied is suitable for one 2 or 4 pot caliper, so 1 kit will do two 2 pot calipers
