no towing today :D
managed to get the front axle casing swapped over this afternoon and top up my transfer box oil and fit my 7.50 x16s along with the long awaited arch trim.
all ready for yarwell tomorrow. hopefully no more arch problem

Replaced my noisy power steer pump today aswell as replace the alternator and power steer belts aswell took ages to bleed though haynes bible was useless but got there in the end :)

FINISHED the main part of the roll cage.
Well I say finished, the main part is all tacked together. Still need to do the internal brace behind the front seats, front wings, incorporate some defender headlights in the front of the cage to replace the 2 candles that I’ve got at the mo. fully weld it, paint and wire all the lights.
Thought I was nearly there in till I listed all the jobs:eek:

Fitted a new stereo with sat nav and flip down screen.
I had something similar in my 300tdi discovery a while back, really good to have a built in sat nav, and probably quite easy to plumb in a reversing camera too?

I believe you can set the resting angle of the screen.

Yeah you can move the angle of the screen forwards and backwards will be handy not having to have the sat nav on the windows plus I bought it cheap so all good really.

been to yarwell today testing out all my toys I've fitted since the last time I was there. really impressed with where it can go now.
did get it stuck coming out the trees though so it''s not unstoppable yet but it's getting there

Thanks to LZ, I managed to download the last MOT fail from tinterweb.
Its quite a list but I have fettled most of it already.

Didnt pick up on a wheel bearing though so thats what I checking today along with the brakes.

Fitted the road wheels back on and drove to work then cleaned the side windows and emptied the indicators of yarwell lake

Service including oil change, oil, air crankcase and turbo filter also pollen filter (looked like never changed) and egr bypass. Also had to sort rear window as it wouldn't recalibrate as couldn't go all the way down as jamming on a cable inside the rear door that had came loose
