What have you done to your Landie today.

Not today, but this week, had the front windscreen replaced on Tuesday only to go and break the back one 2 days later :doh:

Spent most of the day trying to make sense of the main wiring loom on my defender 200 tdi
looks like it has been adapted and bodged a few times by the previous owner(
so sod it i've ordered a new one (Ouch it hurt)

disco's do look better with a good bumper on land rover take note..

That bumper looks great,

Today i replaced all the fluids on the disco, Engine oil, Gearbox oil, Both diffs and transfer box.

A nice easy job but the bloody stuff stinks, just got out the shower and can still smell it!

Picked up a speeding ticket in it.

Finally got around to doing the headlights, cleaned up 38 years of grease and crap from the top of the gearbox and selector and replaced reverse gate springs and tightened up the slack in the selector.









And found this floating around under the floor

wow thats thick but it keeps it protected

Yeah, it was like slicing cold donner kebab off! It's probably the only thing that stopping everything seizing up. The same can't be said for the nightmare we are having with the front brakes

Replaced the D2's steering box.



Made much much easier with access to my brother's employers workshop!



Then hit it with the waxoil gun.

put the dislocation cones on front and rear with spring retainers on the front. then put the +5 terrafirma pin to pin rear shocks on to match the fronts. just need to sort extended brake flexi's now as doing this I have seen just how tight the rear one gets. thinking of +150mm ones and moving the mounts slightly to give as much slack as possible

I think they were impressed as they walked round it and checked everything. And watched as I drove off.

took my disco to my local landy guy cos my park light ain't working on my gearstick and after waggling my knob a few times he said my nut's come off.

collected another disco with mine today hopefully mine can have a rest from towing cars everywhere and this 300tdi can take up the job

Certainly did!
Probably contributed towards the fact that the entire bottom of the sill was spongy and rotten

Wrapped mine up all cosy in a nice warm cover to try and keep it all dry

Rear windscreen replaced thank god. Crash wrap was really beginning to p.. Me off the agricultural look really isn't me
